Surf Lessons in Newport Beach

Although it’s just a little ways away from Huntington Beach, Newport Beach tends to be a little less crowded, which makes it a popular and fun place to learn to surf.  It’s known for consistent swells during the summer months, with warm water and playful waves all season.

Newport Beach has the largest recreational harbor on the West Coast, which includes the Balboa Island Peninsula that’s filled with quaint restaurants and arcade games.  Newport Beach offers ten miles of extraordinary fishing, swimming, surfing and aquatic sport activities.

Nearby the gentle break where we teach lessons, is one of Orange County’s most famous spots for seeing monstrous surf, The Wedge. A break popular amongst adrenaline-junky bodyboarders and world class big wave photographers, The Wedge is known for the massive shorebreak and frightening waves that funnel through the spot.  It’s definitely a must-see when you visit Newport Beach!
