Do I need any experience to book a lesson in Long Beach?
Not at all. Most of our students are complete beginners, and our instructors are pros at teaching from scratch. We start everyone with a land lesson on the beach before heading into the water, so you’ll feel ready when the time comes.
What’s included in the price?
All essential equipment, including your surfboard and wetsuit, is included with your lesson. Just bring sunscreen, a bathing suit, a towel, and some water.
At what age can my child start surfing?
We work with kids as young as 4 years old for lessons, and the surf camp is open to ages 5–17. We’ve also taught adults well into their 80s. Surfing really is for everyone.
Can I book lessons for a group or family?
Absolutely. We love having families and friends come out together. You can book as a group, and we’ll make sure everyone gets the right instruction for their level. For larger groups or special events, check out our birthday party or corporate event options.
What if the conditions are bad on the day of my lesson?
Safety always comes first. If the weather or ocean conditions aren’t right, we’ll work with you to reschedule your session or provide account credit, with refunds available in accordance with our policy. We find conditions are great most of the time, but we never compromise on keeping things safe.
